" A 75-Year-Old Paterson Woman Was Injured In Afternoon Shooting In Paterson New Jersey."

PATERSON, NJ.- On Thursday, July 2, 2021, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 2:56 p.m. on Thursday July 1, 2021, members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 12th Avenue and 27th Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival members of The Paterson Police Department located a 75-Year-Old female Paterson resident who sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.
Based on the initial investigation the victim was in the area of 10th Avenue and East 26th Street in Paterson, New Jersey when she was shot.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
