RIDGEFIELD, NJ.- On Monday, July 12, 2021, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella and Ridgefield Police Chief Thomas J. Gallagher announced the arrest of Daniel Arias-Estrada, 25, of Ridgefield, New Jersey. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love in conjunction with the Ridgefield Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas J. Gallagher.
On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, The Ridgefield Police Department received information that Arias-Estrada engaged in Sexual Conduct with a Juvenile under the age of thirteen while in Ridgefield, New Jersey. Ridgefield Police contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and The New Jersey Department of Child Protection and Permanency. An investigation revealed that Arias-Estrada engaged in Sexual Conduct including sexual penetration of the child while at his residence in Ridgefield, New Jersey.
On Thursday, July 8, 2021, Daniel Arias-Estrada was arrested and Charged by The Ridgefield Police Department with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Assault by Sexual Contact; and One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Once processed by The Ridgefield Police Department, Arias-Estrada was remanded to The Bergen County Jail where he will be detained pending his First Appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
