PATERSON, NJ.- On Sunday, July 4, 2021, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 3:35 p.m. on Sunday, July 4, 2021, Members of The Paterson Police Department were advised that a 20-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey resident arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Based on the initial investigation, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area of 20th Avenue and Gray Street in Paterson, when he was struck by gunfire from an unknown occupant in a passin motor vehicle.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released as it becomes available.
