Two Union City Men Arrested In Seizure Of Cocaine

NEARLY 92 GRAMS OF COCAINE SEIZED IN UNION CITY NARCOTICS OPERATION

      " Two Union City Men Arrested In Narcotics Operation Netting Nearly 92 Grams Cocaine."

UNION CITY, NJ.- On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced, that on June 15, 2021, following an investigation, members of The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at an apartment in Union City, New Jersey leading to the seizure of nearly 92 grams of Cocaine, Heroin and Drug Paraphernalia.


     At approximately 5:00 a.m., Officers arrested two individuals who were charged with various Narcotics Offenses. The search warrant and Narcotics Seizures occurred at 1112 Palisade Avenue in Union City, New Jersey.



. Charlie Carmona, 34, of Union City, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin; Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Within 500 Feet of a Public Park; Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin Within 500 Feet of a Public Park; Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Within 1000 Feet of a School; Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin Within 1000 Feet of a School; and Two Counts of Conspiracy to Distribute CDS; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.



. Javier Fong-Martinez, 30, of Union City, was charged with Two Counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine; Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin; Two Counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Within 500 Feet of a Public Park; One Count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin Within 500 Feet of a Public Park; Two Counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Within a 1000 Feet of a School; Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin Within a 1000 Feet of a School; Two Counts of Conspiracy to Distribute CDS; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


     Prosecutor Suarez credited The Hudson County Prosecutors Narcotics Task Force, The Hudson County Regional SWAT Team and The Hudson County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit.


" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, Which States: The Charges Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond A Reasonable Doubt."
