BURLINGTON COUNTY ACCEPTS PLEAS FROM TWO MEN FOR DISTRIBUTING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- On Thursday, June 24, 2021 Burlington County Scott A. Coffina announced that two Burlington County Men in two separate cases Pled Guilty on Wednesday June 23, 2021 to the charge of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
In separate cases, Albert Pisanelli, 36, of Deptford, New Jersey and David Bucci, 43, of Burlington City, New Jersey, Pled Guilty in front of The Honorable John J. Burke III, J.S.C., to One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Each Defendant acknowledged possessing more than 25 Images of videos of children engaging in sexual acts, and sharing those files.
Under Plea Agreements with The Prosecutor's Office, each Defendant will face Five Years in New Jersey State Prison, without the possibility of parole. They will also be placed on the State Sex Offender Registry upon release and be subjected to parole supervision for life.
Sentencing has been set for September 1, 2021 for Mr. Pisanelli, and for Mr. Bucci Sentencing has been set for September 22, 2021.
They were arrested as part of The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office, Operation Safe Quarantine, which pursued those engaged in the online exploitation of children during The Pandemic. The initiative resulted in charges against 46 offenders during a 12-month period.
The Pisanelli investigation was conducted by The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit and Homeland Security Investigations- Cherry Hill Office, with the assistance from The Burlington Township Police Department and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The lead investigator was Burlington County Prosecutor's Office Detective Jennifer Appelmann and an Undercover Agent from HSI-Cherry Hill.
The Bucci investigation was conducted by The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit and The Federal Bureau of Investigations Newark Field Office, with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations-Cherry Hill Office, The City of Burlington Police Department and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The lead investigator was Burlington County Prosecutor's Office Detective Kevin Sobotka.
Both Defendants will be Prosecuted by Burlington County Assistant Prosecutor Jennifer Weiler.
