A 26-YEAR-OLD CLIFTON MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED AN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE CHILD ENDANGERMENT OFFENSES

CLIFTON, NJ.- On Thursday, June 24, 2021, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Tom Rinaldi announced the arrest of Isais Guadamur, 26, from Clifton, New Jersey. Mr. Guadamur was arrested on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, after an extensive investigation conducted by The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit in conjunction with The Clifton Police Department.
Mr. Guadamur has been charged with Second Degree Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Fourth Degree Attempted Tampering of Physical Evidence.
On April 16, 2021, members of The Clifton Police Department responded to a residence located in Clifton, New Jersey on a report of a fourteen-year-old child being sent pornografic messages by an adult male individual by way of Snapchat. Thereafter The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit Detectives interviewed multiple witnesses, including the child victim, who reported receiving multiple pornographic messages from a Snapchat user. Through further investigation Police were able to determine that the individual sending the pornographic messages to the victim was in fact Mr. Guadamur.
The sentencing exposure on Second Degree Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison with 85% term of service before parole eligibility pursuant to The No Early Release Act, On Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison with 85% term of service before parole eligibility pursuant to The No Early Release Act, on Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child is Three to Five Years in New Jersey State Prison; and on Fourth Degree Attempted Tampering with Physical Evidence is up to Eighteen Months in New Jersey State Prison. If convicted Mr. Guadamur will be subject to Parole Supervision for Life, and Megan's Law registration requirements.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has filed a motion for pretrial detention which will be heard in State Superior Court.
