PATERSON POLICE RESPOND TO A MAN SHOT IN THE AREA OF BROADWAY & EAST 23rd STREET
" Paterson Police Respond To A Man Being Shot Early This Morning & Locate A 20-Year-Old Man Suffering From A Gunshot Wound."

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced, that at approximately 3:23 a.m. on June 19, 2021, Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Broadway and East 23rd Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 20-year-old male Paterson resident who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment.
Based on the initial investigation, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area of 14th Avenue and 21st Street when he was shot by an unknown gunman.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released as it becomes available.
