MINNEAPOLIS, MN.- Shots rang out, injuring one person this morning, in a shooting near the George Floyd Memorial site in Minneapolis, on the same day of the anniversary of his death, at the hands of former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin.
The victim was taken to Abbott Northwestern Hospital before being transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for injuries that were non-life threatening, police reported.
The shooting occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. today, at the 3800 Block of Elliot Avenue, Minneapolis police reported.
The suspected shooter was last seen driving away from scene, according to the police. No other details including a motive for the shooting or the identity of the victim, were available.
