Center For Disease Control and Prevention announced yesterday that fully vaccinated people are no longer required to wear masks, in either indoor or outdoor gatherings, no matter the size, which would also ease social distancing requirements. New Jersey's Governor Murphy continues State mask mandate.
Yesterday Murphy administration officials said "we still need to review yesterday's CDC's lifting of mask requirements. " New Jersey's highest Republican state lawmakers - took to twitter to call on Murphy to " Follow The Science " and the CDC's "lead by immediately lifting all mask and social distancing requirements for fully vaccinated individuals, both indoors and outdoors" throughout the state.
Looking at the science, today, nationwide there are 119 million or 36.3 percent of america's population fully vaccinated, with 267 million individuals that have received at least one dose.
In New Jersey, 3,796,892 individuals or 42.7 percent of New Jersey's total population have been fully vaccinated, with 4,896,860 individuals or 55.1 percent that have received at least one dose.
New Jersey has a total population of around 8,882 million people, with 23 percent of them being children under eighteen years of age, which would increase the percentages of vaccinated individuals.
We may see Murphy change direction and take lead from CDC's easing both mask and social distancing requirements in his next schedule covid-19 briefing, many of doubt he will.
Statistics provided by Murphy Officials, show the number of New Jersey's fully vaccinated individuals by total population, surpasses the total percent nationwide.
" If Governor Murphy does not want to take a lead from the CDC's numbers, at least he could do is take note of the state's number, were doing better than nationwide."
