Passaic County Authorities Release Driver's Identified & Preliminary Cause Of Monday's Fatal Crash On Route 3

CLIFTON, NJ.- Today, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes reported the driver of the tractor-trailer that was killed in Monday morning's firey crash on Route 3 West in Clifton, New Jersey, has been identified as Luis Santiago, 55, of Linden, New Jersey.
Authorities have confirmed that Mr. Santiago was operating a tractor-trailer carrying chemicals and was traveling West on Route 3 through Clifton, New Jersey, when Mr. Santiago clipped a New Jersey Transit Bus carrying 29 passengers, causing Mr. Santiago's truck to crash into the side barrier wall on Route 3, catch fire and explode, killing Mr. Santiago.
Passaic County Authorities have confirmed that none of the 29 passengers on the bus were injured during the crash.
