33-Year-Old Passaic Man Arrives At Hospital After Being Struck By Gunfire Friday Morning On A Paterson Street

PATERSON, NJ.- Today, the Paterson Police Department's Shooting Investigation Unit is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred this morning after they were notified that a 33-year-old Passaic, New Jersey man had arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, July 5, 2024, just shortly before 5:30 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center following being notified by the medical center staff that a 33-year-old Passaic man had arrived seeking treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
During the initial investigation and after interviewing the man, Police Officers determined that the shooting took place in the area of Park Avenue and East 18th Street in the City of Paterson.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
