56-Year-Old Paterson Man Was Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Late Friday Night

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting that left a 56-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man hospitalized after gunfire erupted late last night on a Paterson, New Jersey street.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, June 28, 2024, just shortly before 11:00 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting in the area of Market and Mill Streets in the City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 56-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man, who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment, the man's condition is unknown at this time.
During the initial investigation, Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting at that location.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time as authorities continue to search for the gunman.
