Paterson, New Jersey Shooting Investigation

62-Year-Old Man Remains Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Sunday Morning On A Paterson Street

PATERSON, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Sunday morning shooting that left a 62-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man hospitalized from a gunshot wound.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, May 5, 2024, shortly before 10:30 a.m., Members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting in the area of Broadway and East 24th Street in the City of Paterson.



     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 62-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man having sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment. Additionally, Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a crime scene in the area.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue their search for the gunman.
