38-Year-Old Galloway Township Man Gunned Down Last Night Inside A Pleasantville Residence

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding last night's shooting death of a 38-year-old Galloway Township man who was found inside a Pleasantville residence.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, just minutes after 11:00 p.m., members of the Pleasantville Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting shots fired at 9 West Pleasant Avenue in Pleasantville.

Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Baseem Taliaferro, 38, of Galloway Township, New Jersey who had succumbed to a gunshot wound to his chest. Mr. Taliaferro was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
