MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Following a bench trial, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, an Atlantic County Superior Court Judge found a 28-year-old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania man guilty of multiple gun charges in connection with an incident that occurred at an Atlantic City Hotel and Casino in 2022.

According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Wednesday, the Honorable Bernard E. DeLury, J.S.C. found Rahiem Paige, 28, of Philadelphia guilty of multiple firearms offenses including second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun; and second-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Firearms.

The conviction stems from testimony and evidence presented at trial that revealed on Labor Day Weekend of 2022, Paige traveled from Philadelphia to Atlantic City with his 16-year-old significant other to spend the weekend at Caesar's Hotel & Casino. While at Caeser's members of the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the casino for a report of a domestic assault between Paige and the 16-year-old, including Paige brandishing a revolver during the assault.

While Police Officers were on the scene speaking to the 16-year-old victim and trying to locate the revolver, Paige could be seen on casino video surveillance walking toward the parking garage with a fanny pack and then returning to the casino without it. A short time later Police Officers recovered the revolver and fanny pack inside Paige's rental car inside the parking garage.

Despite extensive efforts by Detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and Philadelphia Police Department's Special Victims Unit were unable to locate the 16-year-old victim to testify to the assault. The testimony of Atlantic City Police Officers and Detectives helped convict Paige of the firearms charges.
