Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting A Child

35-YEAR-OLD FORMER MIDLAND PARK MAN CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A PRETEEN

     "Donato Avolio Was Taken Into Custody On Tuesday After Being Charged Late Last Month With Allegedly Sexually Assaulting A Child."

WYCKOFF, NJ.- A 35-Year-Old Former Midland Park, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody on Tuesday in Clifton, New Jersey, Following being Charged on March 28, 2024, for The Alleged Sexual Assault of a Preteen in Wyckoff, New Jersey.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, The Wyckoff Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit after receiving a report regarding the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Minor that occurred in the past. 

     An Investigation by Detectives of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit determined that Donato Avolio, 35, formerly of Midland Park, New Jersey Sexually Assaulted a Juvenile under The Age of Thirteen in Wyckoff, New Jersey.

     Accordingly, at the conclusion of the investigation, on Thursday, March 28, 2024, Mr. Avolio was Formally Charged with One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault. 

     Detectives on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, with the assistance of The Clifton Police Department were able to locate and Arrest Mr. Avolio in Clifton, New Jersey. Following being Processed on The Charges Avolio was Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
