New Jersey Police Officer Involved Shooting Investigation

MAN SHOT BY POLICE WHILE STABBING A WOMAN EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AT OLD BRIDGE HOTEL

     "New Jersey Attorney General's Office Are Investigating An Officer Involved Shooting That Occurred Early Sunday Morning in Old Bridge."

OLD BRIDGE, NJ.- An Investigation has been launched into an Early Sunday Morning Officer Involved Shooting that occurred at The Hampton Inn in Old Bridge, New Jersey.


     According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Sunday, March 3, 2024, shortly before 3:00 a.m., The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office responded to a Report of an Officer Involved Shooting on Spring Valley Road in Old Bridge, New Jersey.



     The initial investigation quickly determined that on Sunday, March 3, 2024, shortly before 2:30 a.m., Members of The Old Bridge Township Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Disturbance at The Hampton Inn, located at 300 Spring Valley Road in Old Bridge, New Jersey.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located the disturbance, in which a Man was Stabbing a Woman. After refusing to drop the knife, a Police Officer fired his Service Weapon Striking the man. The man is currently being treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for Gunshot Wounds.
