AFTER BEING ON THE RUN FOR 26 YEARS A 77-YEAR-OLD PASSAIC MAN WAS APPREHENDED FOR STABBING

PASSAIC, NJ.- A Former Passaic, New Jersey man found out that he couldn't hide forever from Passaic County Authorities, who never gave up their search for him for a September 1997 Stabbing Incident. When The Diligent Efforts of Authorities finally came to a close, when on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, after evading Arrest for 26 Years Ramon Florentino Siri, 77, surfaced back in Passaic, New Jersey, and was Quickly Apprehended by Members of The Passaic Police Department.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on September 4, 1997, just shortly after 10:30 p.m., Members of The Passaic Police Department had responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an Assault in the area of Henry Street and Leonard Place in The City of Passaic.
Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate a Victim suffering from Multiple Stab Wounds. The Victim was transported to Saint Joseph's Unversity Medical Center for Treatment.
A Swift-Moving Investigation by The Passaic Police Department and The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office were quickly able to Identify Mr. Ramon Siri as a Suspect and the Individual Responsible for The Stabbing.
Ramon Siri was Charged and subsequently Indicted on The Charges of First Degree Attempted Murder; Second Degree Aggravated Assault; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Third Degree Aggravated Assault.
Following being Charged Ramon Siri Fled the area to Avoid Apprehension and Prosecution. On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, Ramon Siri's Run Finally Came to an End when Police who never gave up their search received information that Ramon Siri was back in Passaic, New Jersey. At approximately 4:22 P.M. Members of The Passaic Police Department Arrested him without incident.
Ramon Siri was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Passaic County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Passaic County Superior Court in Paterson, New Jersey.
