BREAKING: Paterson, New Jersey Shooting Investigations

2024 STARTS OUT WITH A BANG AS GUNFIRE ERUPTS IN TWO SEPARATE SHOOTINGS THIS MORNING IN PATERSON

     "A Paterson Man & A Prospect Park Woman Find Themselves Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire In 2 Separate Shootings This Morning."

PATERSON, NJ.- Residents of The City of Paterson brace for another year of Gun Violence as a 25-Year-Old Prospect Park Woman and a 24-Year-Old Paterson Man find themselves Hospitalized after being Struck By Gunfire just hours after Midnight This Morning in Two Separate Shootings on The Streets of Paterson, New Jersey.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Today, January 1, 2024, shortly before 5:00 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center after they were notified by Hospital Staff that a 25-Year-Prospect Park, New Jersey woman had arrived at the Medical Center seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers interviewed the woman and learned that she had been Struck by Gunfire in the area of Market and East 33rd Streets In Paterson, New Jersey. After speaking with the woman, Police Officer located the crime scene at that location.


     Just Two Short Hours Later, Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting Shots Fired in the area of Governor and East 18th Streets in Paterson, New Jersey.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Shell Casings and evidence that a Shooting had occurred. While on scene Police Officers were notified that a 24-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound.


     Both investigations remain active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
