BREAKING: Secaucus, New Jersey Homicide Investigation

HUDSON COUNTY AUTHORITIES HAVE RULED THE DEATH OF A MAN WHOSE BODY WAS FOUND IN THE HACKENSACK RIVER A HOMICIDE

SECAUCUS, NJ.- Today, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that following an Autopsy performed on Sunday, December 10, 2023, by The Regional Medical Examiner's Office, has determined the Death of a Man whose Body was recovered from The Hackensack River on Saturday, December 9, 2023, Died of Multiple Gunshot Wounds to his Chest and The Manner of Death to be Homicide.


     On Saturday, December 9, 2023, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Members of The Secaucus Police Department were notified of a Body being Discovered in The Hackensack River near The Eastern Spur of The New Jersey Turnpike. The body of a Man was Recovered with the assistance of Multiple Hudson County Fire and Rescue Agencies including The Mahwah Fire Department's Underwater Recovery Unit.


     Authorities have not yet been able to identify the victim. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit is actively working with Law Enforcement Agencies Statewide to identify the man.
