TWO PLAINFIELD MEN FOUND GUILTY IN THE SHOOTING DEATH OF WOMAN AND LEAVING A MAN PARALYZED

PLAINFIELD, NJ.- Two Plainfield, New Jersey men will now face the potential of spending the rest of their lives in New Jersey State Prison after being Convicted in the July 2021 Plainfield Targeted Execution Style Shooting that Left a 24-Year-Old King of Prussia, Pennsylvania woman Dead and a man Paralyzed.
According to Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, following a Trial and Deliberating for Three Days, a Jury sitting in Union County, New Jersey Returned Guilty Verdicts Convicting Jahaad Ingram, 23, and Zaire Wallace, 30, both of Plainfield, New Jersey, of First Degree Murder; First Degree Attempted Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Secon Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. The Guilty Verdicts were returned before The Honorable John Deitch, J.S.C.
The Guilty Verdicts stem from an incident that occurred on Friday, July 8, 2021, at approximately 1:55 p.m., Members of The Plainfield Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting that a Shooting had occurred at The Intersection of Rock Avenue and West Front Street in The City of Plainfield.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found Two Victims suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. The First Victim, Jennifer Vorn, 24, of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania had succumbed to Gunshot Wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Second Victim, only identified as a man was immediately transported to a nearby Hospital for treatment. The man ultimately survived his injuries but has been left Permanently Paralyzed.
Testimony presented by The State at Trial revealed on the day of The Shooting, Mr. Ingram and Mr. Wallace followed the Two Victims in their vehicle. The Victim's Vehicle came to a stop at a Red Light on West Front Street at the intersection of Rock Avenue in Plainfield. Before the Light changed, both Ingram and Wallace jumped out of their Black Buick SUV and ran towards the Victim's Vehicle with Handguns, and then the Two Fired at Least Sixteen Rounds into the Victim's Vehicle, Killing Ms. Vorn and Seriously Injuring the man.
Later the same evening at approximately 8:00 p.m. Wallace was stopped Driving the Black Buick SUV, and Ingram was Located in a Courtyard at The Joanne Hollis Apartment Complex. Both men were Taken into Custody and formally Charged.
Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel commended the efforts of The Prosecution Team as well as the Detectives and Investigators of the numerous Union County Law Enforcement Agencies for their steadfast work in the investigation, apprehension, and prosecution of Mr. Ingram and Mr. Wallace.
" I also want to thank all of the concerned citizens whose contributions were essential to the expeditious apprehension of Mr. Igram and Mr. Wallace," Prosecutor Daniel said. " Our thoughts are with the victim's families and their loved ones."
