ELIZABETH MAN CHARGED WITH THE THANKSGIVING MORNING SHOOTING DEATH OF AN ELIZABETH MOTHER
" Gerard Manning Has Been Charged With Murder, Weapons Offenses, & Child Endangerment In Connection With The Murder Of Victoria Myers."

ELIZABETH, NJ.- A 30-Year-Old Elizabeth, New Jersey man has been Taken into Custody in connection with The Shooting Death of a 30-Year-Old Elizabeth woman that occurred Early Thanksgiving Day morning inside her Elizabeth, New Jersey Apartment.
According to Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, during the Early Morning Hours of Thursday, November 23, 2023, Members of The Elizabeth Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Homicide at The Mravlag Manor, Public Housing Project in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a woman, later identified as Victoria Myers, 30, of Elizabeth deceased inside her Apartment from apparent Gunshot Wounds.
A Swift-Moving Investigation by Members of The Union County Homicide Task Force, The Elizabeth Police Department, and The Union County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit were able to quickly identify Gerard Manning, 30, of Elizabeth, New Jersey as a Suspect and the individual responsible for The Fatal Shooting of Ms. Myers.
After a brief Manhunt, on Friday Morning, November 24, 2023, Mr. Manning was Taken into Custody by Members of The Elizabeth Police Department without incident and was Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Mr. Manning was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Union County Jail in Elizabeth, New Jersey, pending Future Court Proceedings.
