BREAKING: UPDATE: Roselle, New Jersey Man Returned To Answer To Murder Charges

44-YEAR-OLD ROSELLE MAN EXTRADITED TO NEW JERSEY TO FACE CHARGES FOR DOUBLE HOMICIDE

     " Everoy L. Morrison Has Been Charged With The Murder Of His Sister-In-Law & His 9-Year-Old Neice."

ELIZABETH, NJ.- On Friday, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel reported that a Roselle man who was Charged in May with the Murders of Two Members of a Family inside their Roselle, New Jersey Home in April, has been returned to New Jersey to face Charges.



     Everoy L. Morrison, 44, of Roselle, New Jersey, was Charged on May 8, 2023, with Two Counts of First Degree Murder and Multiple Weapons Offenses in connection with the Deaths of Keisha Morrison, 45, and her 9-Year-Old Daughter Kelsey Morrison. Mr. Morrison was initially Charged with the Theft of Ms. Morrison's Motor Vehicle after he Committed the Alleged Homicides.



     Back on April 19, 2023, just shortly before 12:00 p.m., Members of The Roselle Police Department responded to a Home located on The 200 Block of West 7th Avenue in Roselle on a report of Two Missing Persons. Upon entry to the Home, Police Officers discovered the Bodies of Ms. Morrison and her 9-Year-Old Daughter, Kelsey. While at the Home, Police Officers quickly determined that Ms. Morrison's Vehicle was missing from the Home. Detectives of The Union County Homicide Task Force and The Roselle Police Department were able to  Track the Vehicle to The State of Maryland, where Mr. Morrison was Stopped and Arrested later on the day of The Homicides. After being stopped, Mr. Morrison was Charged with being in Possession of the Stolen Car. Mr. Morrison was Lodged in The Baltimore County Detention Center in Maryland until Thursday, July 20, 2023, when he was brought back to Union County by Members of The Union County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Investigation Unit.


     During the investigation, Union County Authorities were able to identify, Mr. Morrison as the Suspect and the individual responsible for the Killings. Morrison the Brother-In-Law and Uncle of The Victims had been residing in the Basement of the Home at the time of The Murders.


     "We are appreciative of the collaboration with local and Maryland law enforcement agencies who assisted our Office in locating, apprehending and ultimately bringing Morrison back to New Jersey to face these charges," Prosecutor Daniel stated.


" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, That States: The Charges Outlined In This Publication Are Merely Accusations And The Defendant And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
