From March 2023 through July 2023, Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Investigations Squad investigated a String of Residential Burglaries in and throughout New Jersey. The majority of the Burglaries were committed in Towns throughout Bergen County. The Burglars often targeted homes in affluent areas on Dead End or Cul-De-Sac Streets. The Burglaries occurred during the early evening hours when the homes were not well-lit and appeared the homeowners were not present. Sometimes the Burglars would pose as Delivery Workers to ensure the homes were unoccupied. Once they made entry into the homes they would take High-End Designer Items, Jewelry, and Cash from the Homes.

During the investigation, on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Detectives of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Executed Court Authorized Search Warrants at 1208 Fairmount Avenue and 738 Seaport Drive in Elizabeth, New Jersey. During the Searches, Detectives found Tools commonly used in the commission of Burglaries, an abundance of Jewelry, High-End Watches, and Currency, all believed to be Proceeds of Burglaries committed in Bergen County and other areas in The Tri-State Area. Additionally, Detectives also discovered Fraudulent Government Documents including Driver's Licenses and Passports inside the Searched Locations.

Accordingly, Mr. Rugeles, Mr. Camargo-Rojas, and Mr. Buitrago-Grillo were taken into custody without incident and Formally Charged with numerous Offenses. All Three Men were Remanded To The Bergen County Jail to await Future Court Proceedings.
