A CHATHAM TOWNSHIP JULY 4th PARTY ENDS WITH ONE MAN BEING STABBED AND ANOTHER MAN JAILED

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ.- A Chatham Township Fourth of July Party turns Violent when a 39-Year-Old Chatham Township man Stabs a 51-Year-Old man in the Neck with a Pocket Knife.
According to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Members of The Chatham Township Police Department responded to a residence on Buxton Road in The Township on a report of an altercation.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 51-Year-Old man suffering from a Serious Stab Wound to his Neck. The man was immediately transported to Morristown Medical Center, where he was listed in Critical Condition.
The initial investigation quickly determined that Brian Kozub, 39, of Chatham Township, New Jersey got into an Altercation with the Victim when he took out a Pocket Knife and Stabbed the Victim in the Neck. Mr. Kozub was taken into Custody and Charged with One Count of Second Degree Aggravated Assault; Third Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Fourth Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
Mr. Kozub was Processed on The Charges and transported to The Morris County Correctional Facility pending a Pretrial Detention Hearing.
