ESSEX COUNTY AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING THE BEATING DEATH OF A NEWARK MAN

     "Amin Abdul-Aziz, Dies From Injuries He Sustained During An Assault."

NEWARK, NJ.- Essex County Homicide Task Force are continuing their investigation into the Death of a 43-Year-Old Newark man, who was found unresponsive Friday, Evening, according to The Essex County Prosecutor's Office.

     On Friday, March 17, 2023, just around 7:00 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 100 Block of North Munn Avenue in Newark on a report of an Assault. 

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Amin Abdul-Aziz, 43, of Newark, suffering from injuries. Mr. Abdul-Aziz was immediately transported to University Hospital in Newark where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 7:48 p.m.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No Arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information regarding the Death of Mr. Abdul-Aziz is urged to contact The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide, Major Crimes Task Force at 1-877-TIPS-4EC or 1-877-847-7432.
