JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, a Jersey City Police Officer was Arrested by The Internal Affairs Unit of The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office for Knowingly Hindering the Apprehension of an individual Wanted in Connection with a Jersey City Shooting, according to The Prosecutor's Office.
Page Rivera, 34, was Charged yesterday with One Count of Third Degree Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution. Ms. Rivera was Arrested at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Jersey City, New Jersey and released, pending her First appearance in Hudson County Central Judicial Processing Court on March 15, 2023.
On Friday, February 17, 2023, Members of The Jersey City Police Department's Ceasefire Unit along with The U.S. Marshals Service New York/ New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force Arrested a man Wanted in connection with a Shooting that occurred in Jersey City back on Friday, February 10, 2022.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined the man, who was Wanted on Charges of Attempted Murder; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon was Arrested at Officer Rivera's Residence. It has been alleged that through Ms. Rivera's Employment at The Jersey City Police Department, she was aware of The Arrest Warrant and continued to let the Man stay at her residence.
