JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that Detectives from The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Insurance Fraud Unit Arrested a 30-Year-Old New Brunswick man on Charges relating to Falsified Information that he provided to an Auto Insurance Company in order to receive money for a Damaged Vehicle.
Shingai Marandure, 30, of New Brunswick, New Jersey has been Charged with One Count of Second Degree Insurance Fraud. Mr. Marandure was Arrested at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Jersey City. Marandure was processed on the Charged and released on a Summons pending his First Appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Jersey City, New Jersey.
It has been alleged that Mr. Marandure's Uninsured BMW 430 was involved in a Hit and Run Accident. On April 28, 2022 Marandure opened a Progressive Auto Insurance Policy on the Vehicle, and on April 29, 2022, notified Police and Filed a Claim for Damage.
Investigators determined that the vehicle had been Damaged on April 21, 2022.
