HUDSON COUNTY AUTHORITIES CONTINUE INVESTIGATION INTO A CHRISTMAS EVENING MURDER

     " December 25, 2022 Shooting On Communipaw & Crescent Avenues Has Claimed The Life Of A 46-Year-Old Jersey City Man."

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Monday, December 26, 2022, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force are actively investigating a Fatal Shooting that occurred on Sunday, December 25, 2022.

     On Sunday, December 25, 2022, at approximately 6:04 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of Communipaw and Crescent Avenues in Jersey City, on a report of a Shooting.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Khaliq Lockett, 46, of Jersey City, New Jersey suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds to his Chest. Mr. Lockett was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later. The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the results of The Regional medical Examiner's Office.
