CAMDEN, NJ.- On Sunday, June 19, 2022, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez announced Detectives are investigating the Fatal Shooting of a 37-Year-Old Camden, New Jersey man on Friday, June 17, 2022.
On Friday, June 17, 2022, at approximately 11:59 a.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to The 1200 Decatur Street in The City of Camden on a report of a ShotSpotter Activation.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a male victim, later identified as Charles Copling III, lying on the ground suffering from a Gunshot Wound. Mr. Copling was immediately transported Cooper University Hospital where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased Friday Afternoon.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
