31 YEAR OLD NURSE WANTED FOR THE AGGRAVATED ASSAULT OF A HOSPITAL COWORKER FOUND DEAD OF A SELF INFLICTED GUNSHOT WOUND

Waterford Township, NJ.- On Tuesday, February 8, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that Nicholas Pagano, 31, West Deptford, New Jersey, was found deceased from a Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound in Waterford Township, New Jersey. Mr. Pagano was Wanted on Charges of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Arson, Aggravated Assault, and Unlawful Weapons Possession.
On Monday, February 7, 2022, at approximately 5:15 a.m., Members of The Hackensack Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call from a Hackensack University Medical Center Employee on a report of an Assault at the hospital. Upon arrival, Police Officers learned that a 54-Year-Old Hospital Employee had been Attacked and Burned by another individual in a break room, and that the Attacker had Fled the Hospital.
The victim suffered Third Degree Burns over her upper Body, Face and Hands, as well as a Laceration to her Head that required stitches. She was treated in the emergency room at Hackensack University Medical Center and subsequently transported to Saint Barnabas Medical Center Burn Unit where she remains in stable condition.
An investigation conducted by Detectives from The Hackensack Police Department and The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit determined that Mr. Pagano Burned the victim and Struck the victim with a Wrench. As a result of the investigation, on Monday, February 7, 2022, Mr. Pagano was Charged with Attempted Murder and other Offenses. At approximately 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, Law Enforcement learned that Mr.Pagano was found deceased from a Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound in Waterford Township, New Jersey.
