HUDSON COUNTY HOMICIDE UNIT INVESTIGATING SATURDAY'S FATAL SHOOTING OF A 15 YEAR OLD BOY

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Sunday, February 13, 2022 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of 112 Myrtle Avenue on a report of Shots Fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a injured male victim, later identified as Devin Bryant, 15, of Jersey City, New Jersey having sustained a Gunshot Wound to his Chest. Devin was immediately transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at approximately 9:10 p.m. The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
No Arrests have been made.The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from The Jersey City Police Department.
