JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Tuesday, November 23, 2021 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that Today, at approximately 9:40 a.m., Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit Arrested Percell Mallard, 38, of Jersey City, New Jersey on Charges involving the Sexual Assault of a Female Victim when she was 13-Years-Old. Mr. Mallard was Arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City without incident.
On Thursday, November 18, 2021, Members of the Special Victims Unit of The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office were notified by the Jersey City Police Department about the alleged Sexual Assaults which began in October 2020 in a Jersey City residence. Mr. Mallard was acquainted with the victim as a friend of the family. He was Arrested following an investigation by the Special Victims Unit.
Mr. Mallard has been Charged with Second Degree Sexual Assault; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Mr. Mallard was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Hudson County Correction Center in Kearny, New Jersey pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Jersey City, New Jersey.
