OCEAN COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING THE SUNDAY OCTOBER 3, 2021 SUSPICIOUS DEATHS OF ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS IN SURF CITY NEW JERSEY

     " The Suspicious Deaths Of An 87-Year-Old Surf City Man & A 75-Year-Old Manchester Woman Are Under Investigation By Ocean County Authorities."

SURF CITY, NJ.- On Monday, October 4, 2021 Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Surf City Police Chief John N. Casella, Jr., announced that on Sunday, October 3, 2021, Members of The Surf City Police Department discovered two deceased individuals at a residence on North 7th Avenue in Surf City, New Jersey.



     The Deaths are currently being investigated by The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Surf City Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit. “At this point in time, these deaths are considered to be suspicious. More information will be released as it becomes available,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.


     The two individuals has been positively identified as John Enders, 87, of Surf City, New Jersey, and Francoise Pitoy, 75, of Manchester, New Jersey.


     “This is an active and ongoing investigation by The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Surf City Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit. As we stated earlier, both Deaths are suspicious in nature but there is no danger to the public at this time. Our investigation indicates this was a targeted attack against both decedents,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated. “We will be able to release more information once post-mortem examinations have been completed,” Prosecutor Billhimer concluded.
