WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ.- On Sunday, October 24, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrest of Patrick Camilli, 57, of Washington Township, New Jersey, on Charges of Murder; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
The Arrest is the result of an investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Washington Township Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Skinner.
On Sunday, October 24, 2021, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Members of The Washington Township Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an incident at 41 Lexington Court in Washington Township, New Jersey.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located Mr. Camilli on the floor on top of Mary E. Huber, 51, who lived at that address. Ms. Huber, who had sustained multiple stab wounds and bruises, was transported to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Mr. Camilli was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey, where he is in stable condition following treatment of self-inflicted stab wounds.
An investigation conducted by Detectives from The Washington Township Police Department and The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit determined that Mr. Camilli Murdered Ms.Huber with a Knife.
On Sunday, October 24, 2021, Mr. Camilli was Arrested and Charged with One Count of First Degree Murder; One Count of Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and One Count of Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Camilli was placed into custody at Hackensack University Medical Center pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
