HACKENSACK NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED WITH THE AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT ON A MINOR

HACKENSACK, NJ.- On Monday, September 27, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Edisson Saul Guartazaca-Ali, 24, of Hackensack, New Jersey on Charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault by Contact, Providing Obscenity to a Minor, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The Arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer In Charge Captain Darren DeWitt.
On Friday, September 24, 2021, The Hackensack Police Department received information that Mr. Guartazaca-Ali Engaged in Sexual Conduct with a Child under the Age of Thirteen in Hackensack, New Jersey.
An investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and The Hackensack Police Department revealed that Mr. Guartazaca-Ali Engaged in Sexual Penetration with the Minor on more than one occasion. The investigation further revealed that some of the Sexual Assaults occurred in the presence of another Minor Child and that Mr. Guartazaca-Ali provided Pornographic Materials to another Minor Child.
As a result of the investigation, on Friday, September 24, 2021, Mr. Guartazaca-Ali was arrested and Charged by The Hackensack Police Department with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact; One Count of Third Degree Providing Obscenity to a Minor; and Three Counts of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Mr. Guartazaca-Ali was processed on the Charges, and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
