HACKENSACK, NJ.- On Tuesday, September 21, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Angel Avendano-Cadme, 24, of Hackensack, New Jersey on Charges of Criminal Sexual Contact and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Monday, August 30, 2021, The Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an allegation of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor.
An investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit revealed that Mr. Avendano-Cadme engaged in Sexual Conduct with the Minor who was between the Age Sixteen and Eighteen while at a park in Hackensack, New Jersey, on one occasion.
As a result of the investigation, Mr. Avendano-Cadme was formally Charged with One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and One Count of Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact. Mr. Avendano-Cadme was processed on the charges, and was remanded to The Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
