Atlantic County Indictments Returned

THREE SEPARATE NARCOTICS INVESTIGATIONS IN ATLANTIC COUNTY RESULTS IN INDICTMENTS AGAINST FIVE WOMEN AND TWO MEN

     "Atlantic County Grand Juries Have Returned Indictments In Multiple Narcotics Investigations."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- On Wednesday, September 15, 2021 Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced that Grand Juries sitting in Atlantic County, New Jersey have returned indictments in Three Seperate Narcotics Investigation led by Liberty Mid-Atlantic HIDTA Task Force, and The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Unit, with the assistance from multiple State, County and Local Law Enforcement Agencies has resulted in the Indictments of Seven Defendants, by Three Grand Juries.



     On Wednesday, September 15, 2021 an Atlantic County Grand Jury returned Indictments against Emery Chapman, 42, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, Ebony Chapman, 41, of Absecon, New Jersey, Tennille Lee, 44, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Theresa Lockhart, 20, of Millville, New Jersey in connection with a Heroin Distribution Network throughout Atlantic County from November 2019 until June 2020.


     Emery Chapman was Indicted on the following Charges: First Degree Leader of a Narcotics Trafficking Network; First Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Five Ounces or More of Heroin; Second Degree Conspiracy to Distribute Five Ounces or More of Heroin; and Third Degree Possession of Heroin.


     Ebony Chapman and Tennille Lee were both Indicted on the following Charges: First Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Five Ounces or More of Heroin; Second Degree Conspiracy to Distribute Five Ounces or More of Heroin; and Third Degree Possession of Heroin.


     Theresa Lockhart was Indicted on the following Charges: First Degree Distribution of Five Ounces or More of Heroin; Second Degree Conspiracy to Distribute Five Ounces or More of Heroin; Three Counts of Second Degree Distribution of One Half Ounce or More of Heroin; and Three Counts of Third Degree Possession of Heroin.


     On Wednesday, September 15, 2021 an Atlantic County Grand Jury Indicted Malita Scarlett, 31, of Atlantic City, New Jersey and Alicia Gilliard, 34, of Atlantic City, New Jersey for Possessing Narcotics and Firearms in March 2021.


     Ms. Scarlett and Ms. Gilliard were both Indicted on the following Charges: First Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Five Ounces or More of Crystal Methamphetamine; Second Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance Within 500 Feet of A Public Park; Third Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin; Two Counts of Third Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Three Counts of Second Degree Possession of a Firearm While Committing a CDS Offenses; and Third Degree Money Laundering.


     Ms. Scarlett was additionally Indicted on the following Charges: Second Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute One Half Ounce or More of Cocaine; Third Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl; Third Degree Possession of Cocaine; and Three Counts of Second Degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Firearms.


     On Wednesday, September 15, 2021 an Atlantic County Grand Jury Indicted Richard Mallinson, 53, of Mount Holly, New Jersey for Possessing over Five Ounces of Crystal Methamphetamine.


     Mr. Mallinson was Indicted on the following Charges: First Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Five Ounces or More of Crystal Methamphetamine; and Third Degree Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine.
