Arrest Made In Sunday Dover New Jersey Homicide

 DOVER NEW JERSEY MAN ARRESTED IN SUNDAY'S WEST BLACKWELL STREET ARGUMENT RESULTING IN THE FATAL STABBING OF A DOVER MAN

     " Santiago Agudelo Has Been Charged With Second Degree Manslaughter & Weapons Offenses In The Sunday August 29, 2021 Homicide In Dover, New Jersey."

DOVER, NJ.- Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, and Dover Police Department Chief Jonathan Delaney announced the arrest of Santiago Agudelo, 54, Dover, New Jersey, in connection with a homicide occurring on Sunday, August 29, 2021.


     On Sunday, August 29, 2021, at approximately 7:40 a.m., Members of The Dover Police Department responded to the area of West Blackwell Street and Randolph Avenue in Dover, New Jersey on the report of a male lying on the sidewalk. 



     Upon arrival, Police Officers  located a deceased male. Following an autopsy, the Morris County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be a single stab wound and the manner of death to be homicide. It is alleged that the victim was stabbed by Santiago Agudelo during an argument on the sidewalk of West Blackwell Street. The victim’s name and identity will not be released at this time, pending notification to next of kin. 


     Mr. Agudelo was taken into custody on Sunday, August 29, 2021, and has been Charged with Second Degree Manslaughter, Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Third Degree Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution. Agudelo remains lodged at The Morris County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing.
