Linden Homicide Under Investigation

 UNION COUNTY AUTHORITIES ACTIVELY INVESTIGATING A WEDNESDAY EVENING HOMICIDE IN LINDEN NEW JERSEY

     " Union County Homicide Task Force Detectives Are Investigating The Fatal Shooting Of Grady Jilus Of Linden, New Jersey."

LINDEN, NJ.- On Thursday, August 5, 2021 Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Linden Police Chief David Hart announced that a Homicide occurring on Wednesday evening August 4, 2021 is under investigation.


     On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Members of The Linden Police Department responded to a Parking Lot located on the 600 Block of Morningside Avenue in Linden, New Jersey on a report of possible shots being fired.



     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a male victim in the parking, later identified as Grady Jilus, 29, of Linden, New Jersey having sustained serious injury, according to the preliminary investigation. Mr. Jilus subsequently pronounced deceased.


     The investigation into the shooting is being led by The Union County Homicide Task Force and assisted by The Linden Police Department, Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit, and The Union County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit.
