Lakeland Fla. Uncle Indicted In Warren County

LAKELAND FLORIDA UNCLE HAS BEEN INDICTED ON ALLEGED SEXUAL ASSAULT OFFENSES ON HIS NIECE WHEN SHE WAS SIX YEARS OLD

     " William A. Bundy Of Lakeland, Florida Has Been Indicted On Seven Counts Of Sexual Assault & Child Endangerment Offenses."

BELVIDERE, NJ.- On Wednesday, August 11, 2021 Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Warren County, New Jersey has returned a Seven Count  indictment against a Lakeland, Florida man for Sexual Assault Offenses on his juvenile niece. 



     The indictment was returned on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 and signed by Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer Charging William A. Bundy Of Lakeland, Florida with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Second Degree Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Two Counts of Third Degree Invasion of Privacy; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     On June 3, 2020, a juvenile reported to The Warren County Prosecutor's Office that she had been sexually assaulted by her uncle, William A. Bundy, when she was six-years-old. The juvenile explained that during Sunday family dinners, she would play video games with Bundy, during which time Bundy asked her to sit on his lap, then Bundy reached under her clothing and digitally assaulted her. The juvenile further explained another incident where Bundy unsuccessfully tried sexually penetrate her.


     Further, another juvenile disclosed to investigators, that a few years later they discovered a cell phone positioned in a bathroom, recording, where the two juveniles were changing into swimsuits. When questioned about the cell phone, Bundy admitted it was his, blaming his three year old son for placing it in the bathroom.


     On February 8, 2021, Bundy was charged by way of complaint, and the charges were referred to the Grand Jury.


     If convicted, Bundy on First Degree Charges will face a maximum penalty of Twenty Years in New Jersey State Prison, on Second Degree Charges it is a maximum of Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison, and on Third Degree Charges it is a maximum of Five Years in New Jersey State Prison, further upon completion of incarceration Bundy will be subject Megan's Law Registration requirements and Parole Supervision for Life.


" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, Which States: The Charges Are Merely Accusations And The Defendants And Or Defendants Are Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
