IDAHO AUTHORITIES CONTINUE THEIR SEARCH FOR MISSING 5-YEAR-OLD IDAHO BOY

FRUITLAND, ID.- A desperate search for a missing 5-year-old boy continued over the weekend in Idaho, two weeks after the boy disappeared from his neighborhood.
The boy, Michael Joseph Vaughan, nicknamed "Monkey" was last seen near his home in The City of Fruitland, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on July 27, 2021.
Since the boy's disappearance, more than a dozen Law Enforcement Agencies, including The Federal Bureau of Investigations have searched over 3000 acres of land in rural western Idaho, 29 miles of riverbank, drained canals and reviewed dozens of files of security footage.
Agencies have used scent-tracking dogs, drones, helicopters, divers, and paragliders in the search. A dive team with The Ada County Sheriff's Office searched a pond near the the boy's home on Thursday but found no signs of the child, according to Fruitland Police Chief J.D. Huff.
Michael was last seen wearing a light blue shirt for the video game Minecraft, dark blue or black boxer briefs with a green stripe, and child size 11 flip flop sandals, Police stated. The photo above was taken a moth before his disappearance. Michael is described as as standing 43 inches, weighing 50 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
