INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ.- On Wednesday, August 18, 2021 Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer announced the arrest of Kevin Studley, 50, of Hackettstown, New Jersey on charges of Terroristic Threats and a Weapons Offense.
On Monday, August 2, 2021, Members of The Independence Township Police Department responded to The Liberty House Apartment Complex on a report of a man wielding a knife and threatening an individual.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a victim who reported that Mr. Studley had been waving a knife at him, and continued to threatening that Studley would kill him.
A mutual friend of both the victim and Studley, stated that Studley had made similar threats by sending text messages to the friend insinuating that he was going to kill the victim, when Studley learned that the victim was having dinner with the friend.
On Monday, August 16, 2021, Kevin Studley was formally charged with One Count of Third Degree Terroristic Threats and One Count of Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Studley was processed and remanded to The Warren County Correctional Center pending his first appearance.
