MAYS LANDING, NJ.- On Monday, August 2, 2021 Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced, The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Crash Investigations Unit and The Egg Harbor Township Police Department are investigating a crash where a vehicle left the scene after a female pedestrian was struck and killed.



     On Tuesday, July 28, 2021, at approximately 12:02 a.m., Star Wardell, 61, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey was crossing Washington Avenue in the Township when she was struck and killed by a vehicle. The vehicle involved in the crash fled the area and was not located when Police Officers arrived.
