Bloomingdale New Jersey Man Indicted

PASSAIC COUNTY GRAND JURY RETURNS AN INDICTMENT AGAINST A BLOOMINGDALE NEW JERSEY MAN ON SEX OFFENSES

     " Juan Ixcotoyac-Tiu Of Bloomingdale Has Been Indicted In Connection With The May 6, 2021 Incident Involving Sexual Offenses Against An Eight-Year-Old Child."

BLOOMINGDALE, NJ.- On Tuesday, August 3, 2021 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announced that Juan Ixcotoyac-Tiu, 25, of Bloomingdale, New Jersey has been indicted for Luring and the Sexual Assault against a child.



     A Grand Jury sitting in Passaic County, New Jersey has returned an Indictment Charging Juan Ixcotoyac-Tiu for Sexual Offenses against a Child that took place in the area of Leary Avenue and Oak Street, in the City of Bloomingdale, New Jersey on May 6, 2021 when the Child was 8 years old. Mr. Juan Ixcotoyac-Tiu was indicted on One Count of Second Degree Luring, One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault, One Count of Third Degree Criminal Restraint, and One Count of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     The sentencing exposure on Second Degree Luring is Five to Ten years in New Jersey State Prison with 85% of the term to be served before Parole Eligibility pursuant to the No Early Release Act; on Second Degree Sexual Assault it is Five to Ten years in New Jersey State Prison with 85% of the term to be served before Parole Eligibility pursuant to the No Early Release Act; on Third Degree Criminal Restraint it is Three to Five years in New Jersey State Prison; on Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child it is Three to Five years in New Jersey State Prison. 


     If convicted, Mr. Juan Ixcotoyac-Tiu will be subject to Parole Supervision for Life and Megan’s Law registration requirements.


     Mr. Ixcotoyac-Tiu is currently detained pending the disposition of this case. Mr. Ixcotoyac-Tiu will be scheduled by the Court for Arraignment within the next month.
