WASHINGTON, DC.- Officials from The Federal Bureau of Investigations and The Department of Homeland Security are joining the investigation into Wednesday, July 7, 2021, assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise, following days of unrest and frustration over the unanswered question surrounding the assassination.

The Nation is facing a growing Constitutional Crisis, as Haiti's interim Prime Minister, Claude Joseph, and Senate President are both moving to take control.

At least twenty-eight people are suspected in the plot to kill Moise at his residence in a suburb outside the Nation's Capital Port-Au-Prince, which included twenty-six Colombians and two American citizens of Haitian descent. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the assassination, as well as to identify others who may have been involved.

Throughout the weekend Haitian Citizens arrived at United States Embassy in a town outside of Port-Au-Prince telling Embassy personnel that there is to much insecurity, and many are fearing for their lives.

Haiti has asked both The United States and The United Nations to send Troops to help secure the Country's unrest, but so far President Biden has remained silent whether he would be willing to send Troops.

However, it appears that The United States Government is working to determine what role the U.S. could play in the aftermath of the assassination.

Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said, The FBI and DHS Officials will work to determined " what we can do to help in the investigative process."

A Senior Administration Official confirmed that an investigative team has been sent to Haiti. The group includes Representatives from The State Department, The National Security Council, The Department of Homeland Security, and The Department of Justice.
