PASSAIC NEW JERSEY MAN ARRESTED IN ATLANTA GEORGIA ON CHARGES OF SEXUAL OFFENSES FROM BERGEN COUNTY

GARFIELD, NJ.- On Friday, July 30, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Taquan Jackson, 33, of Passaic, New Jersey on Charges of Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Raymond Kovach.
On Sunday, July 25, 2021, The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit received information from the Garfield Police Department regarding the Sexual Assault of a female in Garfield, New Jersey. An investigation revealed that Taquan Jackson had sexually assaulted the minor victim and had left the area.
As a result of the investigation, on Sunday, July 25, 2021, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Taquan Jackson, charging him with One Count of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Cne count of Second Degree Sexual Assault; and One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, JACKSON was apprehended in Atlanta, Georgia and was remanded to the Atlanta, Georgia City Jail pending extradition to Bergen County, NJ. His first appearance will be in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
