A PARTIAL CARE COUNSELOR HAS BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE SEXUAL OFFENSES

CAMDEN CITY, NJ.- On Friday, July 2, 2021, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Metro Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez announced that Steven Brown, 28, a Counselor with a Partial Care Program in Camden City, New Jersey, was Arrested and Charged this week on accusations of Sexually Assaulting a Child in the Program.
Brown has been charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault; Sexual Assault; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The investigation into the allegations began when a disclosure was made that a Counselor engaged in sexual intercourse with the child, who was under the age of 13 at the time of the alleged offenses.
Brown was arrested on the charges on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, and taken to The Camden County Correctional Facility pending his initial court appearance. On Friday, The State was successful in arguing that Brown should be detained pending Trial.
