TEANECK MAN SHOT EARLY TUESDAY MORNING IN AREA OF GOVERNOR STREET AND CARROLL STREET IN PATERSON, NEW JERSEY

PATERSON, NJ.- Today, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim announced that at approximately 12:54 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, members of The Paterson Police Department responded of Broadway and Madison Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of an individual being shot.
Upon arrival, Paterson Police Officers located a 24-year-old male Teaneck, New Jersey resident who sustained multiple non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.
Based on the initial investigation, it was determined that the victim was shot in the area of Governor Street and Carroll Street. A potential crime scene was subsequently located in that area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released as it becomes available.
