SHOOTING IN THE AREA OF MADISON AND ESSEX STREETS IN PATERSON

PATERSON, NJ.- On Sunday, June 27, 2021, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Sunday June 27, 2021 members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Madison Street and Essex Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of Shots Fired.
Upon arrival members of The Paterson Police Department located a 48-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound, sitting inside a residence.The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment. A potential crime scene was located in the first floor hallway of the residence.
The investigation remain active and ongoing. More information be released once it becomes available.
